Blepharoplasty or Eyelid Surgery

With age, most people noticed a difference in the area around their eyes; there is more excess skin and puffiness under the eyes. In some cases the upper eyelid almost disappears due to the excess skin and fatty tissue. With this procedure we can achieve a fresher and more youthful appearance to a face that gives away age and tiredness.

In order to be a candidate for this procedure, patient should be in good health as wells as have realistic expectations about the results. Most patients that seek this procedure start around 30 years old; however excess skin and fatty tissue are hereditary and surgery can be performed at an earlier age.

Duration: 1 hour for Upper or Lower Eyelids; 1 ½ -2 hours for Upper & Lower Eyelids

Recovery can take a couple of weeks. Stitches are removed between 3 to 7 days after surgery. During the first week post-op, there is swelling and irritation; patients are able to return to work 7-10 days after the procedure.
